90-year-old postal worker is still going strong after 70 years
Ninety-year-old Leroy Brown has been with the United States Postal Service for 70 years and has no thoughts of retirement.
The US Postal Service will increase shipping costs starting January 21, 2024.
Postal Service governors approved the change last week, the company announced in a news release Wednesday.
“The Postal Service continues to provide excellent value for money in shipping. Unlike some other shippers, the Postal Service calculates prices in advance and does not charge residential and regular Saturday delivery surcharges or fuel,” the release said.
The USPS is also considering possible price adjustments for post office box rentals, international mail services and other specialty services. The Postal Regulatory Commission is currently reviewing these prices. Pricing for USPS Connect Local, which offers businesses local same-day and next-day delivery, will not change, according to the release.
