The Secretary General of the OCPM breaks the silence –

While the president of the Office de Consultation Publique de Montréal’s days are numbered, secretary-general Guy Grenier defends her spending and reiterates that it is all justified.

Isabelle Beaulieu will lose her positions. Travel, restaurants, new furniture for her office, she billed tens of thousands of dollars, the Quebec Bureau of Investigation revealed.

“We are moving forward with the end of the contract, but also putting the organization under supervision,” confirmed Robert Beaudry, member of the Executive Committee of the City of Montreal, to TVA Nouvelles.

Meanwhile, Guy Grenier, who was on a trip to Rio de Janeiro when the whole affair broke out, is holding on to his post.

For the first time in two weeks, the Secretary General of the OCPM agreed to speak to our journalist.

“I’ll go first […] “Participate in the Auditor General’s investigation and we will separate my responsibilities from things for which I am not responsible,” Mr Grenier said.

“I did not charge fees that were not justified. I think wrong judgments were made,” he added.
