US President Joe Biden pardoned two turkeys on Monday during a ceremony on the White House lawn to mark the American holiday of Thanksgiving.
These two turkeys, considered “good luck charms,” will not be on the menu at Thanksgiving, as is tradition since the late 1980s.
The lucky National Thanksgiving Turkey winners this year are Liberty and Bell.

The first “Liberty” birds weigh 42.5 pounds each. According to a White House release on X, his favorite sport is pickleball and his favorite snack is Honeycrips brand apple.
The second bird, “Bell,” weighs 42.1 pounds each. His favorite sport is hockey and his favorite snack is nut bars.
