According to the Committee to Protect Journalists, the war between Israel and the terrorist group Hamas has killed more journalists than any other conflict in more than three decades. According to the committee, these include more than 14 thousand killed in this war, 53 of them are journalists.

An Israeli bomb attack in southern Lebanon killed two Lebanese television journalists. In Gaza, the number of journalists killed in the conflict now exceeds 50.

Clashes between Israel and the extremist group Hezbollah have also been increasing since October 7, raising fears of a new confrontation front and a regional war.

The latest victims were a cameraman and a reporter from a Lebanese television station who worked in southern Lebanon near the border with Israel.

Management at the television station where they worked said the attack came from an Israeli drone that specifically targeted the team because the station is proPalestinian and proIranian. Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati said it was another attempt by Israel to silence the press.

Israel denied attacking the journalists, saying the region was a theater of conflict and that it would analyze the journalists’ deaths.
