Ozzy Osbourne surprised his daughter Kelly when he discussed how antidepressants affect his “sex drive” on Tuesday’s episode of the Osbourne Podcast.
While the duo chatted with his wife Sharon and son Jack about mental health and taking medication for anxiety and PTSD, the 74-year-old legendary rock star candidly revealed that taking antidepressants “kills his sex drive instantly.”
“When you take an antidepressant, most of them lose your sex drive,” he said, causing Kelly, 39, to grimace.
Kelly cut him off as she exclaimed, “Oh, for fuck’s sake.”

She then asked him whether this side effect also affected women or only men.
“I think it’s for both men and women,” replied Jack, 37. “But it’s not guaranteed, it’s just a possible effect.”
However, Ozzy insisted that “it’s guaranteed” based on his personal experience.
“Dad basically says, ‘I took antidepressants and it killed my sex drive,'” Kelly added.
Ozzy noted that “everyone he ever took just killed him.”
The five-time Grammy winner previously shared that he began taking antidepressants as his mental health deteriorated during his battle with Parkinson’s disease.
“I reached a plateau that was lower than I wanted,” Ozzy told The Observer last year. “Nothing really felt great.” Nothing. So I took these antidepressants and they work perfectly.’
In 2020, Sharon said on an episode of The Talk that she and Ozzy still have sex “a few times a week.”

The Brixton native, who married Ozzy in 1982, said: So these butterflies and other things change to that comfort. And why should that change if – because you’re a certain age? The thing is, when someone moves you a certain way. You love her. You make love. It’s the best thing in the world.’
Kelly cut him off as she exclaimed, “Oh, for fuck’s sake.”
She then asked him if this side effect also affected women or just men, to which Jack, 37, replied that it was a possibility but not a guarantee for both genders
Sharon argued: “And that’s like saying, ‘Well, you’re in your 60s, do you still like food?’ Can you still like ice cream?”
In the early days of their marriage, she said that “Ozzy was way over the top.”
“I mean, it’s not a secret,” she mused after revealing that he used to want to have sex “three times a day.”
However, these days it is becoming less and less. It used to be three times a day, but now it’s much less. Let’s say a few times a week, which is normal in a long, long relationship.”
