The family of student Ana Clara Benevides, who died last Friday (17) at the first concert of singer Taylor Swift in Brazil, denied information from the American press that the interpreting team contacted relatives at her request.
“As far as I know, no. It’s a fake,” said Gabriela Benevides in an interview with the Q5. Gabriela is the university student’s cousin and was in Rio de Janeiro at the weekend to help Ana Clara’s father release the body.
According to American media such as “Us Weekly” and “Page Six”, Taylor ordered her team to contact the family of Ana Benevides, which, according to the media, would have happened this Tuesday.
Swift has been “deeply devastated” since the loss of Ana and will have difficulty broaching the subject. Her current boyfriend, American football player Travis Kelce, would support her.
Ana Benevides was buried this Tuesday (21) at the Parques dos Ipês municipal cemetery in Pedro Gomes, Mato Grosso do Sul. The ceremony began at 9 a.m. and was open to family and friends only.
With no support from the singer’s team and T4F, the producer of Taylor Swift’s shows in Brazil, Taylor Swift’s fan clubs collected donations to transport Ana Clara’s body from Rio de Janeiro to Mato Grosso do Sul. The family had financial difficulties citing transportation.
