Carol Vorderman impresses in a low-cut red leather dress as she attends the ITV Palooza after being forced to quit her job at BBC Radio Wales

Carol Vorderman looked sensational as she arrived at the ITV Palooza at the Theater Royal Drury Lane in London on Tuesday.

The 62-year-old presenter wore a red leather dress that perfectly accentuated her hourglass figure.

Over this she wore a white, semi-sheer, lightweight coat covered in silver sequins.

The star opted for a pair of open-toed heels to add a few inches to her frame and posed confidently on the blue carpet with her hand on her hip.

Carol appeared to be in good spirits as she exited after being sacked by BBC Radio Wales for breaching the station’s new social media guidelines.

The star, who has been with the broadcaster for five years, said she is “not ready to stop” venting her “strong beliefs” on Twitter and Instagram.

Carol shared a statement earlier this month confirming she had left the channel and said she was not prepared to express her opinions about the British government online.

In her statement, Carol said: “The BBC has recently introduced new social media guidelines, which I respect.”

“Since these non-negotiable changes were made to my radio contract, I have ultimately realized that I am not willing to lose my voice on social media, change who I am, or lose the ability to express the strong beliefs I hold. “ the political unrest in which this country finds itself.

“My decision was to continue to criticize the current British government for what it has done to the country I love – and I am not ready to stop.”

“I was raised to fight for what I believe in and I will continue.”

“As a result, I have now breached the new guidelines and BBC Wales management have decided that I must leave. “We all have to make our decisions.

“I am sad to leave the wonderful friends I have made at Radio Wales.”

“I wish them and all of our listeners all the love in the world.” We laughed a lot and will miss each other very much.

“But for now another interesting chapter begins.”

The BBC said: “Carol has been a presenter on BBC Radio Wales since 2018. We would like to thank her for her work and contribution to the station over the last five years.”

In addition to her weekly show on BBC Radio Wales, Carol also hosted current affairs quiz show Have I Got News For You on BBC1 in May this year.

Carol was accused of “flagrantly breaching the BBC’s impartiality rules” with her anti-Tory outbursts. This included describing ministers as a “lying bunch of greedy, corrupt, destructive, hateful, divisive and gaslighting crooks”.

Most notable was her long-running feud with veterans minister Johnny Mercer and his wife Felicity, who celebrated today by tweeting: “Banned from the BBC”.

The BBC introduced new social media rules for its presenters following outrage earlier this year over Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker’s tweet comparing the government’s Rwanda policy to Nazi Germany.

These prevent high-profile stars from attacking political parties and individual politicians and from commenting on controversial topics before elections or referendums. The rules apply when their show airs and in a two-week time slot before and after.

The ITV Palooza brings together the network’s best and brightest stars to showcase upcoming shows to advertisers.

This year the event moved to the iconic Theater Royal Drury Lane, where ITV favorites including Alison Hammond, Rochelle Humes and AJ Odudu were in attendance.

Just days after the Big Brother finale, AJ will be joining Tom Allen on stage as co-host of the event.

Last year’s showcase featured big names like Ekin-Su Culculoglu, Frankie Bridge and Laura Whitmore.

The event also saw the launch of streaming service ITVX, which offers thousands of hours of exclusive content, films and live streams.

Programs also featured on the night included Gordon Ramsay’s Next Level Chef, I’m A Celebrity South Africa and Stephen Fry’s A Year On Planet Earth.

Kelly Williams and Simon Daglish shared a number of exciting announcements with advertisers to help them capitalize on increased investment in content.

The star-studded event comes after another banner year for ITV, which saw two series of Love Island, The Return of Big Brother and Britain’s Got Talent hit screens.

With the launch of ITVX, the channel has also significantly expanded its library of true crime documentaries, with a number of programs releasing exclusively on the platform before hitting screens later in the year.
