According to the report, Tom Cruise met Maha Dakhil at her CAA office on November 15. A source told the portal that Tom “took the rare step of going in person to show his support for his troubled agent.”

What Maha had posted

Maha Dakhil, one of the top agents at talent agency CAA, had ignited a firestorm with her Instagram posts last month, including one that said: “What is more heartbreaking than witnessing a genocide?” I am witness to the denial that Genocide is taking place.” She faced internal backlash and resigned from the agency’s board after she also reposted an image on Instagram that read, in part, “You are currently learning who supports genocide.” She had added in the caption: “This is the line for me.”

After backlash from within and also from rival agencies, Maha Dakhil deleted both pictures and publicly apologized. “I made a mistake with a repost on my Instagram story that used hurtful language. Like so many of us, I suffered heartbreak. I am proud to stand on the side of humanity and peace,” Maha had said in a statement to Variety in October.

Susan Sarandon stopped by a talent agency

Maha isn’t the only one dividing Hollywood amid the Israel-Hamas war. Hollywood talent agency UTA has fired Susan Sarandon as a client after she recently gave a speech at a pro-Palestine rally, an agency spokesperson confirmed in a Deadline report.

The Oscar-winning actor attended several rallies in support of Palestine and drew criticism for saying, “A lot of people are afraid of being Jewish right now and getting a taste of what it feels like in this country to be a Muslim.” .”

In remarks captured on video, Susan Sarandon encouraged others to remain committed to supporting Palestinians in the Israel-Hamas war. “People are asking questions, people are standing up, people are educating themselves, people are moving away from the brainwashing that started when they were children,” she had said at the rally.
