(Montreal) According to a poll by Pallas Data, the Parti Québécois (PQ) is now at the top of voting intentions, six points ahead of the ruling Avenir Québec (CAQ) coalition.

The poll, conducted on behalf of Qc125 and L’Actualité, found voter favorability for the Parti Québécois at 30%, compared to 24% for the CAQ. Compared to a Pallas Data poll conducted in September, François Legault’s government lost 10 points and the PQ rose 11 points.
The Quebec Liberal Party (PLQ) and Quebec Solidaire (QS) both receive 16% of popular support, compared to 11% for the Conservative Party (PCQ).
In the October 2022 general election, the CAQ received 41% of the votes cast.
The Pallas Data poll shows regional breakdowns that show certain supports that the CAQ has counted on since 2018 are about to collapse.

In the Montreal metropolitan region, the PQ is in the lead with 28% of voting intentions, five points ahead of the CAQ. The Liberal Party is in third place with 20%.
The CAQ’s dominance in the Montreal suburbs, where the CAQ won everything in elections 13 months ago, appears to be under threat from the Parti Québécois.
In the Quebec metropolitan region, the PQ dominates with 35% approval. Behind him, according to the pollster, there is a three-way statistical tie for second place between the Conservative Party (20%), the Quebec Solidaire (18%) and the CAQ (17%), although Pallas Data points out that the size of this regional subsample of 179 respondents is modest.
Elsewhere in Quebec, the poll reveals a heated battle between the PQ at 33% and the CAQ at 29%.
The poll shows the Liberal Party remains stuck in stationary support, while Québec Solidaire appears to have reached a rigid floor of support, particularly outside Montreal.
The Pallas Data survey was conducted on November 17th and 18th with 1,178 respondents; The margin of error is plus or minus 3%, 19 out of 20 cases.
