The Rogers Center is unrecognizable

Four months ago, the Toronto Blue Jays unveiled a plan to renovate the lower portion of the Rogers Centre.

Pictures of the stadium’s renovation are currently circulating on the Internet. What was a baseball field a few months ago now looks like a gigantic construction site.

The demolition of the structures took place between October 13th and 26th. According to Sportsnet, the field-level excavations took place from October 23rd to November 6th.

According to the Canadian team’s announcement in July, the goal of this renovation is to provide spectators with a more comfortable, baseball-friendly experience.

“By renovating the 100-story seating area, we are providing an authentic Blue Jays game experience,” the organization’s president, Mark Shapiro, said this summer.

This work will be the second phase of the redevelopment plan that began last year with the outfield. The amphitheater is scheduled to be ready for the start of the 2024 baseball season.
