A car exploded on the US-Canada border. The incident occurred at the border crossing between the US state of New York and the Canadian province of Ontario, near the famous Niagara Falls, New York State Governor Kathy Hochul announced today.
State police are working closely with the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s FBI terrorism unit to monitor all access routes into New York, Hochul said. The FBI in Buffalo and the Border Transportation Authority also confirmed the incident. The FBI in Buffalo said this was being investigated. Photos showed rubble and a heavy police presence at the border crossing.
Initially there were no further details about the incident. There was also no official information about the victims. US broadcaster Fox previously reported two deaths.
