Five people were injured in a knife attack in Dublin, the capital of Ireland, at around 1:30 p.m. local time. Three of the injured are children; At least one of them is in serious condition.
Of the two adults who were hit, a woman is in serious condition, while a man appears to have suffered less serious injuries.
The man responsible for the attack, a man, was arrested; The weapon used in the attack, a long knife, was recovered. According to police sources quoted by the Irish Times, the attacker had self-inflicted wounds. The same newspaper claims that the perpetrator was stopped by passers-by.
