In response to a question from Le Journal, Revenu Québec stated that the Revenu Québec board adopted new control measures last June.
“Revenu Québec has reviewed its code of ethics for managers and employees to strengthen certain rules,” said Revenu Québec spokesperson Claude-Olivier Fagnant.
“Revenu Québec has raised the minimum threshold for disciplinary action for breaches of confidentiality to significantly increase the deterrent effect,” added Claude-Olivier Fagnant of the nearly 13,000-employee organization.
More than 123 at Hydro-Québec
According to The Journal, over the past five years, unproductivity, incompetence, false statements, serious or criminal acts, incompatible activities or even the use of property for personal gain have cost 123 people their jobs at Hydro-Québec.
