Maurice’s love story began a year ago when he found himself at the Montreal SPCA. His stay was short-lived: enchanted by this magnificent cat, an adopted child immediately took him under her wing and made him her life partner.

His new mother said she was happy to be able to share her old days with him: “For both of us, there are many more years behind us than before. Maurice will have a wonderful old age. »
Maurice is now back at the animal shelter at the age of 14. With a heavy heart, his adoptive mother had to leave him in the care of the SPCA as serious health issues prevented her from properly caring for him.

Although their separation was heartbreaking and tear-filled, it was necessary for the well-being of Maurice, who is now looking for a family to enjoy a peaceful retirement.
Returning to the animal shelter is very unsettling for Maurice. He often stays hidden at the bottom of his cage and is shy when meeting new people.
His future family must allow him to adjust to his new surroundings at his own pace and give him time to rebuild his nest. This will make Maurice open his heart full of love that he only wants to share.

As of this writing, Maurice has just been adopted! We wish Maurice a retirement full of affection and kindness. A new chapter in his love story that began last year can finally be written. I wish him the best conclusions.
