Hamas attacks: Singer Noa felt "betrayed" by the Israeli government and "humanity"

Israeli-American singer Noa returned to the October 7 Hamas attacks, which she viewed as a “betrayal.” But the war in Gaza does not extinguish his hopes for peace in the region.

“I was really devastated.” More than a month and a half after the Hamas attacks in Israel, the Israeli-American singer Achinoam Nini alias Noa called for the release of the hostages and then peace in this Thursday, November 23rd on BFMTV of the region.

“The families of the hostages are suffering in a completely inhumane way. We don’t know when they will be released. It is torture for everyone,” she lamented on our channel when an agreement was reached to release from Friday 50 of the 240 hostages held by Hamas in Gaza.

“A nightmare”

Since Hamas’s bloody attacks on the territory of the Jewish state on October 7, the families of the hostages have been in constant uncertainty about whether they will one day see their loved ones again. Noa, who represented Israel at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2009, claimed to have known several hostages and to have lived in great fear since the start of the war and bloody attacks.

Attacks that she finds difficult to describe: “October 7th, I can’t describe it in words (…) It was a nightmare that no one can understand.”

She continued: “The terrorists came and acted barbarically. They committed terrible crimes and looked like they were having fun.”

The artist, who was successful in the 1990s and 2000s, then admitted that at the time of these attacks he felt a “real sense of betrayal”, which was initially triggered by the Israeli “government”, which was criticized by many citizens for its lack of anticipation of the attacks facts were criticized. But also of “humanity” as a whole in the face of barbarism. “I was really devastated.”

Hope for peace in the Middle East

The horrors of the war that has raged in Gaza for almost 50 days do not affect Noa’s hope for peace in the Middle East. This will include the creation of a Palestinian state recognized by international authorities and its Israeli neighbor.

“I don’t think there is any solution other than the two-state solution (…) Without diplomacy and a two-state solution we cannot survive,” she announced.

The humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, which is being relentlessly bombed and then partially invaded by the Israeli army, is worrying the international community and NGOs. “I feel the pain on the other side too, I don’t forget it,” assured the singer.
