As is often the case when celebrating sports championship teams, their trophy becomes an object with multiple uses, and the Gray Cup did not escape this rather tasty tradition just before the start of the Montreal Alouettes parade.
As the procession prepared to circulate down Rue de Maisonneuve downtown, TVA network cameras captured an amusing scene of two players, David Dallaire and Jake Harty, taking a few sips of a very warm beverage in frigid temperatures. When everything looked like hot chocolate, host Charles-Antoine Sinotte preferred to use the term “hot milk.”

But whatever the exact content, the two men seemed to value it as much as they valued winning Sunday’s final. We can now assume that other players will soon turn the cup into a giant bowl, be it for soup, beer or solid dishes. Phil Kessel made a name for himself in ice hockey with his hot dogs and the Stanley Cup.
