For a few months now we have been treated to various more or less successful 3D renderings of Samsung’s future high-end smartphone, the Galaxy S24. While these gave us a good taste of what the devices would look like, we haven’t had a chance to admire the real phones yet.
However, thanks to @DavidMa05368498 on X, we are now entitled to the first images of the Galaxy S24 Ultra. These confirm all previous leaksall of which announced that Samsung would be making certain changes to the design of the device.
What design changes are there with the Galaxy S24 Ultra?
First of all, the image of the back of the phone shows a 4-camera configuration, like the old model. Each lens is housed in its own metal ring. However, the changes mainly affect the front and sides.
As predicted in several reports, this time the Galaxy S24 Ultra features titanium edges, like the latest iPhone 15 Pro or the most premium Xiaomi 14 Pro. It’s hard to say whether it’s actually titanium in the photo, but the edges look different than the previous generation.
The leaker Ice Universe also announces this this color is called “titanium gold”.. Let’s also note thatA new space will appear under the power buttonwhich will accommodate new network antennas as well as likely a more efficient UWB chip.
Another significant change will be the homogenization of the edges around the screen on the front, especially thanks to the flattening of the panel. Samsung will be ditching the curved screen that has been featured on its high-end smartphones for several years, and Opt for a flat screen instead. All bezels will now be the same, meaning the Galaxy S24 Ultra will have thinner bezels on the top and bottom but larger bezels on the sides compared to the current Galaxy S23 Ultra.
