The Green Bay Packers completely surprised the Detroit Lions when head coach Matt LaFleur hit a staffer at Ford Field on Thursday afternoon to win 29-22.
The visitors had no trouble taking the lead and one of the local favorites had to slow down their pace. Since a security guard did not recognize the Packers pilot, he tried to block his path to the field. LaFleur tried to warn him, but he had no choice but to contact him.

After recovering from that mishap in the third quarter, the coach continued to rely on quarterback Jordan Love. The 25-year-old pivot threw three touchdown passes for the third time this season.
Thanks to throws from Love over Jayden Reed and Tucker Kraft, the Packers scored no fewer than 20 points in the first quarter. Jonathan Owens also brought a ball into the pay zone, which quarterback Jared Goff lost after a tackle. Just before the end of the first 15 minutes, Green Bay forced another fumble, which put the Lions in a difficult situation.
After those few mistakes, Goff made up for it by amassing 332 yards through the air. Their awakening came too late, Detroit narrowing the deficit with a middle finger and a two-point conversion with just 41 seconds left on the clock.
Despite their setback, the Lions (8-3) remain firmly in the saddle at the top of the National Association’s Northern Section. The Packers (5-6), who won for the second straight year, remain in third place.
