A year after the disappearance of Eduardo Malpica, the widow of the Trois-Rivières resident is calling for a public inquiry to shed light on the work of Trois-Rivières city police investigators.

In an interview with Jean-François Guérin, Chloé Dugas criticized the fact that investigators had tunnel vision regarding the disappearance.
“To me it’s not just a botched investigation. “I don’t have the impression that the investigators had much interest in solving the mystery surrounding Eduardo’s disappearance,” she emphasized on the “Dossiers en cours” program.
Current cases
A petition has been launched together with the Trois-Rivières Solidarity Committee to call for a public inquiry.
The man’s relatives believe that the police did not do enough to investigate.
“I don’t think it’s normal for fights to happen in bars and for the police to tell me: ‘There’s nothing there, it’s a normal thing that happens in bars’. For me that’s problematic,” she continues.
“I want to get answers for Eduardo.”
