China says US ship entered its territory without permission Revista Oeste

The Chinese military said on Saturday the 25th that the North American destroyer USS Hopper, a warship, entered Chinese territorial waters without government authorization.

According to a publication on the official account of WeChat As part of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Southern Theater Command, military forces are mobilizing naval and air resources to monitor and warn the ship.

China Sea tensions

This information comes after the Asian giant accused the Philippines of recruiting “foreign forces” to patrol the South China Sea. This is a reference to the joint operations carried out by Filipinos and Americans on Tuesday.

In a statement, the Chinese military further said that the incident “proves that the United States is a real ‘source of security risks’ in the South China Sea.”

Earlier this month, the US and China held dialogues on maritime issues.
