“We live and do things, there isn’t much time to think. When you stop to talk and think about certain topics, it’s like an analysis session,” jokes Angélica about the new project. “There is this strength and reflection, sometimes sadness, fear, really like therapy. So there’s really a lot of things that people are going to see that I haven’t said yet, that the fans who have been with me forever, “You probably don’t know,” warns Luciano Huck’s wife, with whom she is the mother from Joaquim (18), Benício (15) and Eva (11).

After living in the spotlight for nearly five decades, the host knows this revelation, along with other stories told throughout the series, could shock admirers who have followed her career from the beginning.
“I’ve done so many interviews, people have followed me since I was little and everyone knows a lot about my life. But at the same time, everyone has an idea of what they expect from me. That’s why sometimes it’s like, “I say something today and people are surprised because an expectation was created because they saw me grow and followed my story,” he says. “It’s difficult to surprise fans, but there are some things they will see that are new,” adds the owner of the 1988 hit “Vou de Táxi.”
Female strength
But it’s not just Angélica who surprises the audience with “50 & Tanto”, the first episode of which is available free of charge for nonGloboplay subscribers and can also be seen on GNT from Thursday the 30th, the presenter’s birthday, at 10:15 p.m becomes. The program was recorded in chat format at the artist’s house and brought together a group of famous personalities who also expressed strong statements on the issues raised by the birthday boy.
Xuxa, Anitta, Eliana, Sandy, Ivete Sangalo, Susana Vieira, Fernanda Souza, Preta Gil, Paolla Oliveira, Marina Ruy Barbosa, Maisa, Carolina Dieckmann, Giovanna Ewbank, Bárbara Paz and Paula Lavigne are the names that have joined the project . “My story was the guide for them to tell their fears and joys, which women and people also identify with. Because life stories are all very similar. That’s why even people were moved, you identify with the problems and joys of each individual.” “It was very cool, it was something very special,” he remembers.
“We talked a lot about the power that women have today, the strength that we have. This program exists because we can speak, we have a voice to speak, to show ourselves, to say very intimate things that were like that in the past. “I couldn’t. It was strange, women were isolated, they were oppressed of course they still are but we’re breaking that trend so we don’t let machismo hold us back. Feminism is present in every episode, even with the youngest girls. We talk about how cool it is to be a woman in her 40s or 50s,” says the protagonist of the series.
Angélica also highlights the message she wants to leave with viewers with the project, which marks her first project with Rede Globo since the end of her permanent contract with the channel in 2021. “It’s a show for all women aged 50 and over, who also identify and feel strong to come together with a group of friends to say what they want, to exchange ideas,” he says. “Women United are very strong! The program is about women supporting each other and giving each other strength, and I think it’s inspiring in that sense too. They are women who show up, stand out with great strength and say: ‘Everyone!’ “It could be, it should be like that”. At fifty we start our lives again,” he explains.
News
Frankly, the presenter admits that there are no plans to deal with the “fiftyodd” in new seasons of the series, which will also be seen in compact form on “Fantástico” from this Sunday. However, she is toying with the possibility of following Xuxa’s example and producing a documentary about her story in the future. “We have a lot of footage, we could do a series (with) four seasons.” [risos]. But the idea was to do something related to the moment I’m living in today, to speak, to express my opinion… We shot the documentary in the ’60s.”
On the other hand, contact with Chico Felitti, a journalist known for the podcast “A Mulher da Casa Abandonada”, aroused Angélica’s interest in venturing into the world of audio programs. “Yes, I want to do a podcast next year. We’re talking. What comes to mind at the moment is Mina BemEstar (a women’s care content platform that Angélica founded together with the Uol portal). But I don’t have a project yet. Suddenly something new comes up with Chico, we can talk. I’m a big fan of podcasts and it opened that little door for me,” he says.
Beauty and health
Angélica turns 50 next Thursday and begins the new decade synonymous with selfcare. When asked about the secrets to keeping your health on top, the presenter makes no secret of it and delivers her “beauty combination”: “I have never stopped taking care of myself, especially because I live my life always had in mind.” “And I always played sports, not just because of these things, but my father was always an athlete. So I remember riding bikes and playing volleyball with him on the weekends. “We always moved around a lot,” he says.
“I had to be physically prepared for the shows, so I always had to exercise on the treadmill and run. Because of my work I have always had to take care of my body, but there is also a family legacy that I like. I like to sweat.” I like to go to the gym. I do Pilates and strength training twice a week because after 30 we need to do strength training to maintain our muscles. And I do that with great joy. I take care of my skin, also because “I wore a lot of makeup for a very long time. And hair has always been my favorite,” the artist continues.
“My biggest highlight today is the spiritual care. As I reviewed my life, I discovered that I was always doing an astral chart, I was always into crystals, retreats, I was always looking for things like that. But I didn’t have the time or… dedication to it. And in recent years my body got tired, as did my head, and I had to look for alternatives. My intuition led me to this path of meditation, yoga, my teas, things I like. When I have a lot to do, I already make a small set with my crystals, (I do) meditation. I have music and sounds for going to sleep, for waking up. “I’m always busy with this side and it’s what carries me, guides me,” adds Angélica.
