“It’s a dream come true to bring my book to life as a Netflix series,” says Mattias Edvardsson, the bestselling author and executive producer of the series. “It was important to me that the series was filmed in Lund, where the book is set. I also hope that some incredibly talented young actors will make their debut in this series,” says the author. “From my first encounter with this story, I realized that it was really about something. It raises complex questions, offers deep characters and at the same time captivating tension,” emphasizes director Per Hanefjord.
