Ana Hickmann talks about a toxic relationship with Alexandre Correa Splash

That day I was talking to my son in the kitchen about changes that were likely to occur in our lives, things that he was used to. Because of this conversation and other things that happened before, the argument started, I was insulted by Alexandre, it started with a verbal argument and then ended the way Brazil found out.

The couple’s son, Alezinho, witnessed some of the aggression Ana suffered. “He [Alexandre] started complaining that I didn’t have the right to talk to my son [sobre os problemas financeiros enfrentados], that we wouldn’t lose anything, that I was crazy, that I was traumatizing the boy. He didn’t like admitting his problems and the fight became more and more heated. Alezinho started screaming and demanding to “stop” because there were constant verbal arguments in the house. Alezinho ran to the pool, Alexandre followed Alezinho and said: “Your mother is crazy, she has to stop this.” And me [falando] “Stop it, you’re making up a lie again,” and then things got heated and that’s when I asked the maid to take Alezinho to the back of the house.”

About the attacks. “He started to lose control even more and I started screaming and asking for help. ‘Help, call the police!’ Then I started to move away from him and got really scared. My kitchen had a sliding door and when I tried to close it we started arguing. When he saw that I wouldn’t let go of the door, he slammed it shut with all his strength and closed the door at my elbow area […] Then I sat at the table and I couldn’t move my arm, I couldn’t move. He was on his way to the kitchen and tried to jump out the window and only stopped when I called 911 and the police officer answered on the other side. It’s a good thing there’s 190 because if I hadn’t called he would have come in through that window and I don’t know what would have happened.

Frayed marriage. “He controlled my schedule for everything, and I don’t just talk about work. He designated the day for the gym, doctor. On January 1st of this year I looked at him and said, ‘Enough, I’m not an object.’ “There are no men and women here, there is nothing more.” I took him out of my room and took the ring from my hand. People were so used to it that they didn’t notice.”

Ana says she has proof. “I cannot go into details as the investigation is being conducted in secrecy. What I can say is that on the Thursday before the attack I found documents, checks and many other things in my house. They had signatures.” I’m sure they’re not mine. There are extensive investigations into fraud, embezzlement and misrepresentation. That’s the only thing I can talk about right now.”

The presenter also revealed that she intends to work less in the coming years as she is doing well financially. “I thought, ‘I’m going to be able to live everything I ever dreamed of, bring my family close together, no matter how hard he always tried to get everyone away from me.’
