1.9 million people are without electricity in southern Russia, Crimea and the occupied Ukrainian territories due to a hurricane that hit them in the last few hours. This was announced by the Ministry of Energy, citing the Tass agency. According to the emergency services, the still provisional number is two dead and ten injured.
“The bad weather caused power outages in more than 2,000 towns and villages in 16 regions of Ukraine and also blocked road traffic,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported, releasing some images that fell on the country. “I am grateful to all rescue workers, public service workers, national police, local authorities and engineers who are working around the clock to help people,” he added.
