An exact measurement of Victor Wembanyama’s hands was not recorded at the 2023 NBA Draft Combine, but it’s safe to say that the 7-foot-4 San Antonio Spurs star is wearing some pretty big gloves.

Take it from Denver Nuggets guard Jalen Pickett, who happened to have some of the smallest hands measured at the combine: 7.5 inches wide and 8.5 inches long.

The two were introduced before Sunday’s Spurs-Nuggets game in Denver, where the 6-foot-2 Pickett was left in awe after the introduction.

“We shook hands,” Pickett said with the microphone on to a teammate before Sunday’s 132-120 win over the visiting Spurs.

“I’m not going to lie, his hand went here,” Pickett continued, pointing to the area where his wrist meets his forearm.

Later, speaking to his teammates on the bench, Pickett reiterated his point.

“Look at his hands,” Pickett said. “His middle finger slipped up right here, bro.”

Although we don’t know the exact size of Wembanyama’s hands, the NBA’s Twitter account previously showed the 19-year-old Frenchman holding a basketball with just his middle finger and thumb.

Currently, the largest mittens in the NBA belong to 7-foot-4 Dallas Mavericks center Boban Marjanovic, whose hands measure 12 inches wide and 11 inches long.

But not every record-breaking pair of hands belongs to a 7-foot center.

For example, 6-foot Julius Erving, 6-foot Michael Jordan, and 6-foot Kawhi Leonard all have hands that are almost a foot wide.

Unfortunately for Wembanyama, his hands weren’t big enough to carry the Spurs past the Nuggets in Denver.

While the top pick of the 2023 NBA Draft posted a team-high 22 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks, reigning NBA Finals MVP Nikola Jokic was easy with 39 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists in his 12 points too much -point victory.
