Keke Palmer looked like a badass in her new music video for the song “Serious,” which premiered Monday morning.
The clip appeared to touch on her recent ugly split from baby daddy Darius Jackson, which saw her get a restraining order against him. Together they have a newborn son named Leo.
The Serious video shows her being left to die on a remote mountain overlooking a large city, but she wakes up to belt out the tune.
The 30-year-old is later seen singing to a handsome, shirtless man while letting him know that she is not happy that he wronged her.
The whole song is about how he ruined their relationship and now she wonders if he ever loved her at all.
‘What do you do when you’re dead?’ Serious video out now!’ the pop singer wrote in her Instagram caption.
New Music Video: Keke Palmer looked stunning in her new music video for the song “Serious,” which premiered on Monday morning
Drama: The theme of the music video is about falling in love with a man and then being disappointed in him
Left for Die: At the beginning of the clip, a man in a suit and tie takes her out of the trunk of a vintage Mustang and throws her on the ground
In the clip, a man in a dark suit parks his blue Mustang and then opens the trunk to carry Keke out.
He places it on a blue movable cloth before saying into his cell phone: “Mission accomplished” and driving off.
Keke, dressed all in black, opens her eyes and looks around in shock and horror at the sparkling cityscape below her, having been left to die.
Then she belts out, “You never read the signs, maybe you should analyze them because you can’t see what’s in front of you,” before screaming about being a woman who’s been wronged.
A man is seen in the shower and then in bed with her as they appear to be intimate. She wears black underwear and he only wears black underwear.
She is then seen drugging him and dragging him into a room. He is still shirtless as he is chained to a round table.
“Put your pride aside, what’s really going on in your head when you think you haven’t crossed the line,” she sings.
Keke then says that he has “made his bed” and is now lying alone.
At first, all seems well between Keke and her mysterious shirtless man as they roll around in bed
She is then seen modeling lingerie alone on the black satin sheets
Another look: She is also seen wearing a gold raincoat, which she opens to reveal black lingerie
She added that he said he loved her but she didn’t know now if he did.
In the video, Palmer can then be seen looking at the man, who now has electronic electrodes attached to his temples. It seems like she’s trying to read his mind.
The siren is also seen wearing a gold coat over black tank tops while glowing with deep red lipstick.
Keke recently accused Darius of physically abusing her.
According to legal documents obtained by People, he must stay at least 100 meters away from Keke and their child Leo for now.
When asked by Interview magazine earlier this month what she thought of “baby daddies,” she didn’t mention the restraining order.
But she seemed to hint at their bad breakup.
Next, she puts a cloth over the man’s nose and mouth, causing him to pass out
She wears white stiletto heels with anklets as she drags him across the floor
He looks disappointed as she takes him from the bathroom to another room
Palmer is now wearing a black and white blazer and sitting in a white armchair
The shirtless man is chained to a table while she interrogates him
She also appears to be trying to read his mind, as there are electrical circuits at his temples
She described getting pregnant in a non-traditional way as a “fabulous” alternative to the traditional method of getting pregnant.
She said, “Shit, we all have one.” Unless you chose the other path, which we all know is fabulous thanks to technology.”
And she said she feels “stronger” since becoming a mother.
The actress gave birth to eight-month-old Leo with Jackson and admitted everything about her has “changed” since his arrival.
And she learned to love herself “much more.”
She told Interview magazine: “[Motherhood is] amazing, exhausting. It changes everything about you. It made me a lot stronger and I love myself a lot more because you want to do the best you can for that person who deserves the best of you.”

Meanwhile, the Nope actress found fame as a teenager when she landed the title role of Nickelodeon vice president True Jackson.
However, she went on to stress that childhood fame should “never” be actively pursued as it can “stunt” one’s growth, and explained why she was recently “relieved” to have reached her 30th birthday.
She said: ‘[It’s] crazy, and there’s quite a lot to deal with. Becoming a child star is something you should never aspire to, but when it happens, it happens. It can honestly slow you down quite a bit if you’re not too careful.
‘[When I turned 30,] Most of all, I was relieved because I’m still alive. I learned from the 1920s, which were really overrated. Now I’m ready to enjoy the ’30s and really reach into my pocket and let all these idiots know!’
