- The bodies were found at a residence at 674 East 136th Street in Mott Haven.
A five-year-old boy and his parents were found brutally murdered in their Bronx home Sunday morning as police investigate the triple murder.
The bodies of Jonathan Rivera, 38, Hanoi Peralta, 33, and Kayden Rivera, 5, were found at a residence at 674 East 136th Street in Mott Haven.
Police responded to a 911 call at 6:40 a.m. Sunday and discovered Mr. Rivera in the hallway covered in blood and suffering from multiple stab wounds.
While Ms Peralta and Kayden were also found shortly afterwards with multiple stab wounds in their apartment on the first floor of the same building.
All three were pronounced dead at the scene.
Hours after the grisly discovery was made, the building’s former principal fondly recalled his interactions with Kayden as he walked to and from school.
“I play with him every day,” Jose Torres said. “That’s my little buddy there.”

Neighbor Paulette Williams said: “I heard people talking, they heard loud fighting and arguing, and then it stopped – and that’s when they found out they were dead,” she added.
Torres, 60, believes the family moved into the building about five years ago.
“They always go out together,” he said. “I never had a problem with any of them.”
Dahan Ali owns a deli in the building and knows all the victims. She said: “I used to see her every morning at 7.30am, when I came she would take her son to school every morning.”

Residents of the building say the family kept to themselves and never saw any problems between the couple or their little boy.
Ms Ali continued: “Pretty boy, very sweet – when I came home the day before yesterday he took a biscuit and I asked, ‘Where is your dad?'” He said outside.’
The medical examiner determined the cause of death to be murder.
The investigation is ongoing and so far there are no suspects or motives.
