The Las Vegas Raiders are releasing Roderic Teamer after he was arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning – hours before his team played the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.

He now wants to join a new team and Raiders interim coach Antonio Pierce confirmed the news on Monday.

Teamer was arrested for speeding and drunk driving and was released from custody Sunday morning.

He played in 33 games for the Raiders over the last two seasons and had just returned from a hamstring injury before the Chiefs game.

Teamer was removed from Las Vegas’ injured list on Saturday after a blow to his hamstring sidelined him.

After suffering the injury in Week 6 against the New England Patriots, Teamer participated fully in most practices this week.

Teamer has been with the Raiders since 2021 after beginning his career with the Los Angeles Chargers and a brief stint on the Indianapolis Colts’ practice squad.

The Raiders were beaten 31-17 by the Chiefs on Sunday afternoon despite taking a 14-0 lead early in the game.

The team from Las Vegas is 5-7 this season and will next host the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.
