In the images provided by the Guardia Civil, the pieces of Iberian ham can be seen stacked in a white van.

The products were stolen in the early hours of last Wednesday (22) in the city of Villanueva de Córdoba. Some of them were in vans that had been stolen from a mechanical workshop and the others were in a ham drying room.

Investigators located the vehicles in an industrial area in Getafe, on the outskirts of Madrid, “and the stolen hams and sausages were inside,” authorities said.

In total, authorities seized 296 Iberian hams, products highly valued during Christmas celebrations in Spain, and 448 Iberian sirloins.

The two arrested people were brought before the police.
