North Korea: satellite photographs the White House and Rome Latest News Ansa.it

A North Korean reconnaissance satellite took photos of the White House and the Pentagon, as well as Rome, from November 25 to today. This was reported by Pyongyang’s state news agency KCNA.

On its website, the KCNA states that the images were already viewed by President Kim Jong-un as part of “preparations for the operation of the Malligyong-1 reconnaissance satellite before the start of his official mission.”

According to the same source, the North Korean satellite also took photos of the US military air base at Anderson in Guam in the Pacific; the Naval Station Norfolk and the Newport News Naval Shipyard in Virginia, where “four U.S. Navy nuclear aircraft carriers and one British aircraft carrier” were spotted. On November 21, Pyongyang launched a reconnaissance satellite. In response, South Korea announced a partial suspension of the military agreement with the North, which in turn declared that it would no longer abide by the entire agreement and would resume actions banned in the document.
