The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) of the United States of America will provide economic aid to several states across the country until the end of November. This is important information for citizens looking to improve their finances in the final days of 2023. The states that will benefit from IRS financial assistance are Virginia, Arizona and Alabama.
Some time ago, the country’s government stopped issuing stimulus checks as the crisis caused by the coronavirus receded. However, many Americans still struggle to meet their monthly expenses due to high inflation rates.
For this reason, the IRS has decided to issue tax refunds to taxpayers who systematically meet their tax obligations. The federal agency reported that refunds will be made starting November 30 of this year.
Since the national administration stopped making financial contributions, most states took the initiative to contribute to their residents. States have different types of programs that benefit residents, and the IRS also participates in these benefits.
The numbers that are distributed
Inflation rates have reached historic levels in recent months, weakening Americans’ financial performance. In the coming days, the IRS will issue a check for a maximum of $2,000.00 to the population that meets their tax obligations.
In Alabama, $393 million is to be distributed as a tax refund. This money is part of a $2.8 billion Education Trust Fund budget.
There are also other states that have come together to provide cash grants to their citizens. Those states are New York, Georgia and Florida, which plan to issue stimulus checks with varying amounts of money.
