The English singer Paul McCartney, who will perform this Thursday (November 30th) at the Arena BRB Mané Garrincha, is expected for a surprise performance at the Clube do Choro in Brasília.
There is still no official information about the date and time of the performance, nor any official information from the singer’s team, but construction of a structure has begun at the location and students of the Escola de Choro Raphael Rabello have been informed that the institution received contact from the production “by one of the greatest international artists” with a request to perform there.
The club is not authorized to reveal the artist’s name, but as the show gets closer it becomes clear that it is the Beatle.
After the show, Paul will begin the Got Back tour in Brazil, which will begin at the Mané Garrincha Stadium. Paul McCartney will then perform in Belo Horizonte (December 3rd and 4th, at the Arena MRV); in São Paulo (December 7, 9 and 10, at Allianz Parque), in Curitiba (December 13, at Estádio Couto Pereira); and in Rio (December 16th, in Maracana)
The singer, who is a sir in the UK, could become an honorary citizen of Brazil. The proposal was made by federal deputy Altineu Cortês (PLRJ). The politician cited the British relationship with the country as his reason. “During his visits to Brazil in 2010, 2011 and 2012, Paul always showed his affection for our country.”
