BEIJING, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) — China will consistently maintain the stability and smooth running of global industrial and supply chains, according to an initiative released by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) on Tuesday.

The Beijing Initiative for Industrial and Supply Chain Connectivity was launched in Beijing by Ren Hongbin, President of the organization, at the opening ceremony of the China International Supply Chain Exhibition and the Global Innovation and Innovation Forum. Supply Chain Development.

Maintaining the resilience and stability of global industrial and supply chains is an important guarantee for promoting global economic development and serves the common interests of people around the world, the initiative says.

In this sense, it calls for respect for market principles and the adoption of concrete measures to deepen international cooperation in industrial and supply chains.

Likewise, the world is called upon to work together to advance the liberalization and facilitation of trade and investment and to reduce barriers to trade and investment.

Under the motto “Connecting the world for a shared future,” the event is the first national exhibition in the world to focus on supply chains, according to the council.

The aim is to create a new platform to promote high-level openness and create a new opportunity to promote the construction of an open global economy.
