The ceasefire between Hamas and Israel was supposed to end after six days. According to a source familiar with the matter who spoke to Agence France Presse, the terrorist movement is ready to extend the pause for another four days.

“Hamas is able to release Israeli prisoners it holds during this period along with other resistance movements and other parties under the current agreement and under the same conditions,” the source said.

17 former Thai hostages were repatriated on Thursday

Thai authorities announce that the 17 hostages released by Hamas in recent days will be able to return to the country on Thursday, November 30.

Mediators are trying to extend the ceasefire

Since Friday, Hamas has released about 10 women and children a day who were kidnapped during its bloody October 7 attack in Israel, while releasing three times as many Palestinian prisoners. Twelve hostages (ten Israelis and two Thais) and thirty Palestinian prisoners were released again on Tuesday evening.

Negotiators are working behind the scenes to extend the ceasefire beyond Thursday. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is expected back in Israel and the West Bank this week.

“Our main goal and hope at this time is to reach a lasting ceasefire that will lead to further negotiations and ultimately an end to the war,” Qatari Foreign Minister Majed Al Ansari said.

US and Israeli intelligence chiefs in Doha to discuss Gaza

The heads of the American and Israeli intelligence agencies were in Doha on Tuesday to discuss the “next phase” of a possible agreement between Hamas and Israel with the Prime Minister of Qatar, our AFP colleagues report.

Israel announces the release of 30 Palestinian prisoners in exchange for hostages released in Gaza

Following the release of 10 Israeli hostages in the Gaza Strip, 30 Palestinian prisoners, all women and teenagers under the age of 19, were released by Israel on Tuesday evening, the Israel Prisons Authority said.

Since Friday, Hamas has released about 10 women and children hostage every day who were kidnapped during its bloody Oct. 7 attack in Israel in exchange for the release of three times as many Palestinian prisoners.

New hostage release this Tuesday

After the ceasefire between the Palestinian Hamas and the Israeli army was extended by 48 hours, a new group of hostages were released in Gaza on Tuesday in return for the release of 30 Palestinians detained by Israel.
