Shannen Doherty has shared a difficult health journey, revealing her stage 4 cancer has spread to her bones, but she remains optimistic, saying: “I’m not done yet.”
In a video posted to Instagram today, the 52-year-old actress, best known for “Beverly Hills,” “90210” and “Charmed,” said: “We have a really good regiment at the moment and it’s working well for me, day day after day, month after month.” month after year.”
Doherty shared more details in an interview with People and promised that she will continue. “I don’t want to die,” she told the publication. “I’m not done with life yet. I’m not done loving yet. I’m not done creating yet. “I’m not done trying to hopefully change things for the better,” adding, “I’m just not done – I’m not done yet.”
Doherty was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, but after treatment she went into remission in 2017. In a GMA interview in 2020, she revealed that the breast cancer had returned as a stage 4 cancer, and in June, she revealed that the cancer had spread to her brain.
On December 6, Doherty launches her memoir podcast “Let’s Be Clear with Shannen Doherty” on iHeartRadio, where she reflects on her television and film career, her eight-year battle with cancer and more.
“My greatest memory is yet to come,” she told People. “I pray. I wake up and go to bed thanking God and praying for the things that are important to me without asking too much. It connects me to a higher power and spirituality. My faith is my mantra.”
