AntiIsrael activists try to embarrass Marco Rubio, but get a response

AntiIsrael activists tried to embarrass Republican Senator Marco Rubio of Florida, but received an unexpected answer when asked if he cared about civilian deaths in Gaza.

Marco Rubio, 52, the son of Cuban immigrants, belongs to a generation of Americans who, with broad support from the left, saw their parents’ island destroyed by Fidel Castro and Che Guevara. Part of his political career has been to warn his countrymen about the dangers of the ideology that has taken over Cuba in recent decades.

Marco Rubio’s quick clash with two activists who sought to corner the senator ultimately became an opportunity for him to make his position clear.

The conversation, posted on the senator’s social media profiles:

“Senator Rubio, are you going to call for a ceasefire?” asks the activist.

“No I won’t go. Are you filming? I want them to catch every Hamas member they can. They are vicious animals who have committed terrible crimes. I hope you post this.”

“What about the civilians who are killed every day?”

“I blame Hamas. Hamas should stop hiding behind civilians and putting civilians in the line of fire. Hamas knew this would happen. Hamas must stop building military facilities under hospitals.”

“So you don’t care about 15,000 dead people and dead babies?”

“I think it’s terrible and I blame Hamas 100%.”
