Cops in LA are on the hunt for a serial

Cops in LA are on the hunt for a serial killer after three homeless people were shot dead by a “hooded male suspect” – as police warn locals against sleeping outside alone at night

  • On November 26th, 27th and 29th, three homeless people were shot
  • The LAPD believes a hooded male suspect is responsible for the three murders

The LAPD has warned that a potential serial killer could be on the loose after three homeless people were murdered last week.

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect responsible for three murders on November 26, 27 and 29 in downtown and south Los Angeles, California.

The LAPD said the investigation was in its early stages but noted similarities in these three murders.

“A single individual approached each individual and shot each one while they were sleeping,” said LAPD Chief Michel Moore.

“The hooded suspect targets lone, unprotected people sleeping on the street, shoots them, and then flees in a vehicle without a confrontation,” the LAPD reported during a press conference Friday afternoon.

“To the person responsible: We will find you, we will catch you and you will be held accountable,” said Mayor Karen Bass.

A 37-year-old man was killed early Sunday morning in South Los Angeles.

The next day, around 4:45 a.m., a homeless man in his 50s was shot in downtown LA, and the third victim, in his 60s, was killed the day after.

Moore did not use the term “serial killer” but said the three victims were found dead under similar circumstances.
