Castelfiorentino, December 1, 2023 – There was a time when Edoardo SantiniThe 21-year-old dreamed of being on the catwalk and in beauty pageants. He won the title of “Most Beautiful Italian”. Then something changed. He felt the calling within himself and is now preparing to enter the seminary.
The story comes from Castelfiorentino, the boy’s hometown. Still young, but already with a lot of experience behind him. The last one World Youth Day in Lisbon, with communities from all over the world.
As part of his modeling career, Edoardo took part in a beauty contest called “The Most Beautiful in Italy” in 2019. He won and his entertainment career seemed to be in full swing. Then the changes and the decision to get closer and closer to the church. In the last few days he announced his decision to make the trip to the seminary with a post on Instagram and a video.
“In recent years – he says – I have had the opportunity to meet some young people who, by showing me what it means to “be church”, have given me the strength to pursue this question that me Since my founding was small, but various fears prevented me from researching further.” Last year the decision was made to live with other priests, “and here came the answer that I was waiting for, to come down from above.”
Edoardo is convinced of his faith and has asked the bishop to enter the seminary. He is now studying theology and working with two Florentine parishes.
