Resumption of Israeli attacks stops humanitarian aid imports into Gaza

GAZA, Dec. 1 (Xinhua) — Israel’s resumption of attacks on the Gaza Strip has halted imports of humanitarian aid from Egypt today, the Palestinian media office said at the Rafah border crossing.

“Gaza did not receive trucks carrying humanitarian aid today due to the end of the week-long temporary humanitarian ceasefire,” the media office said in a statement.

Separately, Lynn Hastings, United Nations humanitarian coordinator for the occupied Palestinian territory, called on all parties to protect civilians and ensure humanitarian workers have access to provide assistance throughout the Gaza Strip.
