NGO collects evidence of sexual violence after Hamas attack

More and more details are emerging about the gender-based violence perpetrated by Hamas on October 7th. Whether in residential areas, military bases or at Festival Nova – the traces of massive sexual violence are clear. The NGO Doctors for Human Rights – Israel (PHRI) has now compiled numerous reports and statements from survivors, helpers and other witnesses into a position paper. But this is only part of what happened, because there is a lack of systematic analysis of the victims’ injuries. Preserving forensic evidence after the terrorist attack was also difficult, as identifying victims and evacuating them was more urgent immediately after the attack, the NGO writes.
