Peru has been declared the best cultural and culinary destination in the world by the World Travel Awards Perú

The World Travel Awards, known as the “Oscars of Tourism,” took place on Friday, December 1st at the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah Hotel in Dubai, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. At this ceremony the Peru It reaffirmed two of its titles and became champion in the categories “Best Cultural Destination” and “Best Culinary Destination”. In the first category they defeated Cambodia, Cuba, Spain and Vietnam. In the second category, it defeated 15 countries, including Argentina, Colombia, Spain, Italy, France, Japan and Thailand.

Added to this is the victory of lime as best leading heritage city. On the other hand, Machu Picchu lost its place as the best tourist attraction to the Guinness Warehouse in Ireland.
