Palantir CEO Alex Karp criticizes corporate America for their silence on Israel after the October 7 attack

Palantir CEO Alex Karp criticized American companies at the Reagan National Defense Forum, noting that only three companies had outwardly supported Israel since the October 7 massacre.

Palantir Technologies CEO Alex Karp on Saturday criticized companies that remained silent after the Oct. 7 terrorist attack on Israel.

During a panel discussion at the Reagan National Defense Forum, Karp condemned corporate America for its “catastrophic failure to stand up to anti-Americans who inhale the fumes of a thin new religion in elite schools.”

He said many of these people “actually believe that it would be better to let China rule the world rather than America.”

“And we are silent,” Karp complained. “As far as I can tell, there are only three companies that were publicly pro-Israel on October 7,” he said, naming Booz Allen, Anduril Industries and his own company, Palantir.

“We have to do better,” Karp said, adding that this is a problem that business leaders need to address, not politicians.

“Somehow the corporate elite of this country think that when it’s time to make money, you stand up. And when it’s time to get up, you go play golf. And we have to change that. This is our fault, “This is no one else’s fault,” he said.

Karp and other U.S. national security experts joined the panel to discuss the results of the Reagan National Defense Forum’s sixth annual National Defense Survey. The national opinion poll found that most Americans want to increase military spending and provide security assistance to Israel, Ukraine and Taiwan.

“Our poll shows that, like President Reagan, Americans remain committed to supporting those who defend freedom around the world,” Roger Zakheim, director of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Institute, said in a news release Thursday.

“Rather than stand down, Americans have demonstrated their commitment to push back against authoritarianism and strengthen U.S. global leadership at a time of increasing global conflict,” Zakheim said. “As Congress debates defense spending cuts, our leaders should consider the views of the American public, who look to our elected officials to strengthen America’s military and weaken our authoritarian opponents.”

The poll found that 77% of Americans surveyed support increased military spending. A majority of Americans view China as the country that poses the greatest threat to the United States, and the majority also support increased military aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan.

At the same time, trust in the American military remains at a record low: According to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute, only 46% of survey respondents said they had a high level of trust in the US military.
