Israel halts negotiations on new ceasefire news

The Israeli government complained of an impasse in negotiations for a new ceasefire in the Middle East war and ordered its negotiators to return to Israel. Talks in Qatar are at a “dead end”, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said today.

The head of the Israeli secret service Mossad, David Barnea, withdrew his negotiating team from Doha on instructions from the Prime Minister.

A seven-day ceasefire between Israel and the radical Islamic group Hamas, which was used to free Hamas hostages and deliver aid to the civilian population in the Gaza Strip, expired yesterday.

The Israeli army then continued its military operation against Hamas, while the radical Islamic Palestinian organization again fired rockets at Israel.

The Israeli army claims to have attacked more than 400 targets in the Gaza Strip since the end of the ceasefire. According to the Hamas-run Ministry of Health, which cannot be independently verified, 200 people have been killed in the Gaza Strip since fighting resumed.

According to the Palestinian Red Crescent, Israel today again allowed the delivery of aid to the Gaza Strip. The 50 trucks were loaded with food, water, medical supplies and medicine.
