As they had publicly announced, the Puerto Rican singer and composer is José Ángel López Martínez, better known as Jay Wheelerand the Venezuelan artist, Zhamira ZambranoShe got married today in church in Puerto Rico.
Wheeler and Zambrano got married in a civil ceremony in December last year, but had assured that they would eventually get married in a church in the singer’s home country.
According to People en Español magazine, the artists were joined by 230 guests at the exclusive Royal Isabela Golf Club in Puerto Rico.
Likewise, they stated that the celebration was led by the group “Super Banda” and a DJ.
The “Curiosity” interpreter proposed to his sweetheart on October 6 last year during one of the rehearsals for his performances at the Puerto Rico Coliseum.
The words “Marry Me” lit up the stage as the singer dressed as a dinosaur awaited Zambrana. He then removed his disguise to immediately make the proposal, which was accepted.
The couple shared photos and videos of their wedding reception in the west of the island via their social networks.
The wedding was joined today by the news that the author of “Lugar Seguro” will give a concert at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in Puerto Rico on February 14, the day of love and friendship.
“Puerto Rico, my homeland, I am very happy to announce that I am returning to the Puerto Rico Coliseum in February 2024. A lot has happened since you accompanied me in October 2022 and I missed your energy and affection. That’s why I come back to sing for her and have her close to me,” shared the artist.
The news was spread through a peculiar video published on the artist’s social networks, in which Wheeler and his Zhamira are the protagonists.
“Forever” represents a new achievement and challenge in the Puerto Rican artist’s career, following the resounding success of his first world concert tour: “Emotions World Tour”, which began in its home country with four sold-out performances at the Choliseo in October 2022.
