Lynx snowmobiles: robust and versatile

Presented at BRP as a premium brand, the Lynx series continues its momentum of reliable and versatile snowmobiles. The Radien 2 platform, introduced last year, can now be found in several models in the range.

The RAVE RE model, a powerful snowmobile on trails and bumps, has migrated to the Radien 2 platform. A fourth motor mount was added. The chain case has been redesigned to make it easier to remove and reset the transfer shaft.

The snowmobile is also equipped with LED headlights, two high and two low, in white light (6000K), which require 50% less power consumption and provide an output of 4800 lumens. We also installed acoustic panels on the clutches and exhaust systems. The 10.25-inch dashboard is optional.

You’ll also find new brake calipers that are easier to clean. The Ice Ripper XT track has 1.25-inch heels instead of last year’s 1.5-inch heels. For trail performance, there’s also a new seat that’s narrower at the front and wider at the back with a flatter profile.

A new braking system is included with a 220mm rotor and a 4-piston Brembo caliper, and the brake lever is adjustable. The new suspension calibration enables more flexibility in driving behavior and at the same time ensures more resistance to bottoming out during dynamic driving.

XTERRAIN RE 850

This powerful hybrid snowmobile model has also been converted to the Radien 2 chassis.

This means it shares the same features with its four engine mounts, redesigned chaincase to make the transfer shaft easier to remove and reinstall, not to mention two low and two high positioned LED headlights that deliver 4800 50% power. Lumens consume less power. In this case too, the 10.25-inch dashboard is offered as an option.

This model also features two sturdy bumpers at the front and rear. You can also choose between the pre-dubbed Ice Cobra with 1.6-inch heels or the PowderMax with 2-inch heels.

XTERRAIN DRUTAL

As the name suggests, this powerful snowmobile is not afraid of any terrain. It now features adjustable Pro 36 EA-3 R Kashima shock absorbers at the front. At the rear, the Easy Ride suspension becomes Easy Ride+.

This new addition features a new rail profile that reduces the angle of attack by 15%, allowing for easier snow climbing. The asymmetrical positioning of the support wheels on the rails reduces vibrations. We installed a new arm at the front and repositioned it to increase the stroke by 30mm. The rear arm has also been redesigned to provide greater freedom of movement.

All of these modifications make this snowmobile more comfortable and provide better performance in powder snow.
