L’Auberge Boréale: a new snowmobile destination in Charlevoix

Located on the grounds of the outfitter Domaine du lac Brouillard, this new inn accommodates passing snowmobilers or those who want to enjoy a stay in maximum comfort.

“We have built a very beautiful inn that meets the expectations of the enthusiasts who visit us in summer, autumn and now also in winter,” explains the owner of the domaine, Adrien Phillipon. We have just completed the work. It is the snowmobilers who will carry out the official inauguration. Anyone who decides to visit us can do so during a hike or during a stay with all the services included. In total we can accommodate 20 people in the basic snowmobile package priced at $195. It includes bedtime, dinner and breakfast. »

The new inn is built entirely of wood and blends in very well with the beautiful surroundings of the Charlevoix mountains. The outfitter’s territory extends over 1,500 hectares with numerous lakes.

“In addition to being able to stay overnight with us, snowmobilers can also use the property to engage in various activities such as ice fishing. You also have a beautiful view of the Outfitter Lake, which is located in front of the inn. We don’t just want to create a large snowmobile squadron, but a real winter outdoor base in the middle of beautiful nature,” continues Adrien Phillipon.

TO GET THERE

There are two possible access routes for snowmobilers accessing the trails.

“We managed to create a connection to two well-known network paths in the region via private paths. You can reach us via path 83, which passes through the ZEC Lac-au-Sable and takes our 9km path as the owner mentions. On the other hand, it will be possible to visit us via route 383. Just before Petit Saguenay there will be a small junction that will take us on our 20 km long path. We will appear on the iMotoneige application and also on the Charlevoix map,” explains Mr. Phillipon.

The trails are marked and maintained with the same care as other snowmobile trails. If you want to access the site directly, another solution is also available.

“Amateurs who want can come to us via the forest path that leads to the outfitter, which we will maintain throughout the winter,” he explains. You can bring your van and trailer to our home and make the Auberge the base for your adventures in Charlevoix. This is the same route that amateurs use in the summer. »

You can also enjoy other activities on site such as snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and more.

The owner hopes that people can spend sociable evenings around the fire and tell each other about their experiences of the day.

EXPERIENCED PEOPLE

Adrien Phillipon is not without experience in organizing stays in nature. He and four French investors chose Charlevoix to settle and thus promote the development of the region.

“We fell in love with the potential of the place. The immensity of the territory presented us with a great challenge in terms of its development. I come from the Alps, where we run a snowmobile base on 8 hectares as well as various activities. It has nothing to do with Charlevoix. It’s really very beautiful, very big. The nature of Quebec and Charlevoix is also very attractive. In France we had no difficulty highlighting this unique destination. We will even organize summer camps here. The potential is there,” concludes Adrien Phillipon.

One thing is certain: if you decide to trust this team of specialists, you will not regret it. Just read the comments from fishing and hunting enthusiasts who have visited the outfitter over the past two seasons to understand the professionalism of the team.
