Israel has adjusted its travel advice and increased the danger level for Israeli citizens when traveling to Austria. Information for several other countries has also been adjusted and increased, Israel’s National Security Team announced today. The second of a total of five phases now applies to Austria, which calls on Israelis to exercise greater caution. Those affected by the increase include Germany, France and Britain.

The National Security Team said Iran and its allies are stepping up efforts to attack Israeli and Jewish targets around the world. Israeli citizens should therefore choose their travel destinations carefully and take the recommended precautionary measures. Furthermore, there has been a significant increase in hate speech, attempted attacks and anti-Semitism in many regions, he said.

Since the start of the war in Gaza, assessments of the situation have been carried out regularly. Due to the increased threat situation, danger levels have now been adjusted accordingly.
