During a recent interview with CNN’s Chris Wallace, Adam Driver was asked if he doesn’t “look like a typical movie star” – and whether that has helped or hindered his career in Hollywood.

The 40-year-old Star Wars: The Force Awakens actor seemed surprised by the interview’s turn, but replied, “I look the way I look.” I can’t change that, so I guess it is helped me.”

“The New Yorker also called me Horseface,” he continued. “I remember reading a reviewer [who said]”His agent probably doesn’t know whether to put him in a movie or in the Kentucky Derby.” So if you believe the good, you have to believe the bad. I try not to absorb anything.”

Driver’s fans quickly took to social media to criticize Wallace, who left Fox News after 18 years in December 2021.

“That guy interviewing Adam Driver is kind of a scumbag, right?” a fan Posted on Xformerly known as Twitter.

“Men like Chris Wallace look like turtles and look at beauties like Adam Driver and say to their faces, ‘Why don’t you look like Robert Redford?’ And that really shows how fucking stupid men are.” another Driver fan the veteran journalist struck.

“The audacity of Chris Wallace to say something about Adam Driver’s looks while looking like that is absolutely crazy.” said another fanaccompanied by this statement with a photo of Wallace, 76.

Another fan posted a mock summary of the interview, writing:

“ADAM DRIVER: I used to be able to secretly observe and learn how different people behave and interact, and now it’s harder because I’m more recognizable.

CHRIS WALLACE: Because you’re so ugly, you mean?”

During his appearance on Wallace’s Max series “Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace?” Driver discussed his role in Michael Mann’s Enzo Ferrari biopic “Ferrari,” which hits theaters December 25. Driver plays the title character. This isn’t Driver’s first embarrassing public appearance while promoting the film, as he previously shocked audiences at a film festival by saying “f–k you” to a man who called the film “cheesy.”

Driver also spoke about his role as villain Kylo Ren in the “Star Wars” films, saying that he will “never downplay” the fact that Kylo Ren killed his father Han Solo (Harrison Ford).

“Every day someone reminds me of this,” the “Girls” alum said.

After Wallace replied, “Are you serious?” The driver said, “Not every day, but yeah. There used to be more, but now probably once a month someone will tell me that I killed Han Solo.”

While Driver said filming the scene itself didn’t feel “hard,” it was still “very emotional filming it with Harrison.”

He added: “Harrison was so generous and thoughtful, and for me that was a great moment on set, even though it was his death.”
