The GoPro Hero 10 Black is certainly not the brand’s last action camera, but it still has some good ones left. In terms of appearance, it has hardly changed compared to its predecessors, it is still 5g lighter and weighs just 153g. It is accompanied by a touchscreen on the front and back, which can display information such as the battery or the mode in use.
This action camera features a durable design to accompany you on all your adventures and is shockproof. New to this model is the addition of hydrophobic and water-repellent glass, which is said to be more scratch-resistant and less prone to ghosting. Specifically, this lens has, above all, good resistance to water drops, which could spoil certain shots taken in water.
A satisfying action camera to immortalize your exploits
With this action cam it is possible to record videos in 5.3K at 60 fps, in 4K at 120 fps and in 2.7K at 240 fps. Suffice it to say that the slow motion sequences will be of excellent quality and that the recorded videos will generally still be just as detailed. And thanks to its processor, navigating the interface is smoother and displaying menus is much faster than before. The stabilization system is very good and many functions have been improved.
HyperSmooth can now be used with a wider range of definitions. The “hold horizon” mode has also been improved and now reaches around 45 degrees. Other modes like Burst, Live Burst, Time Lapse, Night Lapse, etc. are also included to add a little creativity to your sequences. Finally, the Hero 10 Black’s autonomy has problems. During our testing, it lasted 48 minutes in 4K at 60 fps (compared to 1h15 for the previous version) and 1h49 instead of 2h09 in 1080p at 30 fps. It is therefore better to have more batteries to avoid failure in the middle of a session.
