Another Russian general killed in the Ukraine War The Antagonist

The general confirmed dead is the deputy commander of the 14th Army Corps of the Northern Fleet, Major General Vladimir Zawadsky. Ukrainian media had already reported on the death of the senior official last week.

According to armyaffiliated Russian Telegram channels, General Zawadski was killed at the end of November. He would have stepped on a mine outside the front area.

The announcement came as fighting intensified around the industrial town of Avdiivka. The eastern Ukrainian city in the Donetsk region has become a focal point of fighting between Ukrainian and Russian troops.

Before Zawadski’s obituary, the Russian military confirmed the deaths of a total of six generals in the war against Ukraine. However, according to Ukrainian information, at least twelve Russian generals died in the war of aggression unleashed by Moscow.

In total, around 70,000 Russians were killed in Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, including 50,000 regular soldiers and 20,000 members of the Wagner Group. The number of injured is estimated at 180,000 to 240,000 soldiers and 40,000 Wagner fighters.

Accurate information is difficult. Even in Russia, the total number of dead and injured is probably not known because of an established culture of dishonest reporting within the military. Russian authorities did not provide any information about Ukraine’s losses.

Despite Ukraine’s resistance, the situation is currently tense due to difficulty maintaining support from Western allies throughout the war. The United States, currently divided between supporting Ukraine and Israel, may have difficulty approving a new financial aid package for the country.

In a letter to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the director of the US Office of Management and Budget said that the Defense and State Departments were at a stage where they had almost exhausted available US funding for Kiev and that they did not be able to pass laws By the end of the year, if Ukraine can continue to finance its defense, Russia could win the war.
